Guigoz Recalls One Lot of Infant Formula in France After Low-Level Bacteria Detection

The company reports a very low-level detection with no illnesses to date.

  • The recall applies only to lot 52820346AB of 800 g Guigoz Optipro Relais 1 (0–6 months), best-before October 2027, barcode 7613038317922.
  • Affected cans were sold nationwide from 22 October to 10 December 2025 across major retailers, pharmacies and parapharmacies, and online platforms.
  • Bacillus cereus was detected at a very low level on a production line, and the company says other Guigoz products are not affected.
  • Parents are advised not to use the product, to discard any affected cans, and to send photos of each box to Guigoz customer service to receive a voucher or reimbursement.
  • Authorities warn that symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea and occasional fever can appear 8–16 hours after ingestion and direct consumers to the 0800100409 hotline for information.
