Guerreras Buscadoras Recover Three Bodies in Ciudad Obregón Following Warrant

The collective resumed digging at a Rincón del Valle site under judicial authorization following an anonymous tip to rule out additional clandestine burials.

Tres cuerpos fueron hallados por las Guerreras Buscadoras de Cajeme en el patio de una casa abandonada en la colonia Rincón del Valle, tras un reporte anónimo que advertía sobre al menos cinco posibles entierros en el sitio.
Durante un cateo en un domicilio de Ciudad Obregón, la Fiscalía de Sonora localizó tres osamentas enterradas con apoyo del colectivo Guerreras Buscadoras.

  • On July 18 the Guerreras Buscadoras de Cajeme resumed excavations under a court-ordered search warrant at an abandoned Rincón del Valle property and recovered three bodies buried up to two meters deep.
  • The Sonora Attorney General’s Office transported the remains to the SEMEFO for forensic analysis and genetic testing to establish identities.
  • Collective members remained onsite on July 19 to continue digging after receiving anonymous information suggesting up to five individuals could be interred at the location.
  • Since early 2025 the civilian search group has located 73 bodies in clandestine graves across the municipality, compared with 50 discoveries in 2024.
