Overview
- The Auditorio del Cerro del Fortín will host the traditional Lunes del Cerro on July 21 and 28, featuring 32 and 33 Indigenous and Afro-Mexican delegations respectively.
- All ticket proceeds from the two Lunes del Cerro performances and the Feria del Mezcal will be donated to communities affected by Hurricane Erick.
- The festival’s 2025 edition comprises more than 140 cultural events across Oaxaca, including calendas, the Feria del Mezcal, Festival de los Moles and the Feria de la Tlayuda.
- The Bani Stui Gulal “Repetición de lo Antiguo” light-and-sound spectacle will take place at 6 p.m. on July 18 and 25 at the Auditorio del Cerro del Fortín.
- Free seating in palcos C and D on Lunes del Cerro dates, national live streaming of all events and free concerts by Lila Downs (July 16), Siddhartha (July 23) and Rubén Blades (July 31) aim to broaden participation.
