• On July 19, investigators opened a case in Moratalla after a donkey was tied to a vehicle and dragged half a kilometre, sustaining severe friction burns and eye injuries before being found chained to a tree.
• Specialists from SEPRONA documented multiple open wounds on the donkey’s left side and ordered immediate veterinary treatment, and the animal remains under professional care.
• In Dúrcal, Granada, a 59-year-old man was placed at judicial disposal for allegedly abandoning two horses without food, water or shelter, one of which died from malnutrition and dehydration.
