• Guardia Civil agents intercepted a Seat León carrying 700 kg of stolen telephone cable from the Jabugo–Castaño del Robledo line and detained the driver in Huelva.
• Two specialized thieves were arrested in Orgaz and Sonseca for the May 4 theft of copper wiring on the Madrid–Sevilla high-speed rail that halted 21 trains and left over 6,300 passengers stranded.
