- Two Malaysian nationals, Mohammed Farik bin Amin and Mohammed Nazir bin Lep, incarcerated at Guantanamo Bay, have pleaded guilty to their roles in the 2002 Bali bombing.
- The pair are expected to give evidence against the alleged mastermind of the bombing, Indonesian national Encep Nurjaman, also known as Hambali.
- Charges related to the 2003 bombing of the JW Marriott Hotel in Jakarta were dropped as part of the plea deal.
- The two men are expected to be sentenced next week and then returned to Malaysia.
- Hambali, who is still to go on trial, has alleged that he was brutally tortured following his arrest in 2003.
