Overview
- The festival runs Oct. 24–Nov. 3 across Guadalajara with more than 30 cultural, sports and educational activities, most of them free.
- The Día de Muertos parade is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25 from 6–8 p.m., traveling from Hidalgo and Chapultepec to Plaza Guadalajara with expected traffic restrictions.
- Tourism officials anticipate about 30 contingents and roughly 2,000 participants, and a family pavilion will operate 4–8 p.m. on Paseo Alcalde between Morelos and Pedro Moreno.
- A social run on Sunday, Oct. 26 begins at 6:30 a.m. from Unidad Deportiva Rubén Darío, with temporary closures on Providencia, Pablo Neruda and Rubén Darío; entry is free and participants are asked to donate personal hygiene items for DIF Guadalajara.
- New offerings include videomapping on historic tombs at Panteón de Mezquitán and guided tours at Museo Panteón de Belén from Oct. 29–Nov. 3, accommodating 3,500–4,000 people daily at a fee of about 100 pesos.
