Overview

• Peel Regional Police, Halton police and Canada Post launched Project Undeliverable in April to investigate a series of residential mailbox thefts.
• Search warrants were executed on September 8 and 9 at multiple locations in Mississauga and Brampton, including Rhinebank Street, Brandon Gate Drive, Dwiggin Avenue and Kittridge Drive.
• Investigators recovered 255 cheques, 182 credit cards, 35 government IDs and 20 gift cards, with the haul valued at more than CAD 400,000.
• The accused, identified by police as eight men aged 21 to 29, face a combined 344 counts that include theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
• Police say the group worked together to target community mailboxes, report widespread disruption to residents, and note the men appeared in Brampton court for a bail hearing.
