Overview
- Toronto’s waterfront program begins at 10 p.m. on Dec. 31 with pop-up performances and culminates in a 10‑minute fireworks display at midnight viewable across the inner harbour.
- Designated viewing sites include Sugar Beach, Harbour Square Park, HTO Park and HTO Park West, Toronto Music Garden and Sherbourne Common, with no fireworks at City Hall or Nathan Phillips Square.
- Harbourfront Centre closes its Winterfest with rink views of the show, a concert led by headliner Lu Kala, appearances by Makayla Couture and Jessica Smith, and a post-fireworks DJ dance party until 1 a.m.
- The countdown and fireworks will stream on CultureTO’s YouTube channel with ASL and closed captioning, while TTC, GO Transit and UP Express offer free service from 7 p.m. Dec. 31 to 8 a.m. Jan. 1.
- Across the region, Brampton hosts Alessia Cara and midnight fireworks at Garden Square, Mississauga’s Celebration Square features K‑Pop performances, a 9 p.m. junior confetti countdown and Tim Hortons–presented fireworks, and Barrie runs a 5–9 p.m. family event with Kim Mitchell and an early fireworks finale.
