GTA 5 PC to Receive Free Next-Gen Upgrade on March 4

Rockstar Games brings PS5 and Xbox Series X|S features to PC, but higher hardware specifications will be required.

The free upgrade will align GTA 5 on PC with the enhanced versions available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, including improved graphics and new gameplay features.
Key technical updates include ray tracing, faster loading times via DirectStorage, and support for AMD FSR3 and Nvidia DLSS 3 to optimize performance.
GTA Online players on PC will gain access to new vehicles, modes, and the GTA+ subscription program, alongside a refreshed landing page and Career Progress tracking.
Players can migrate single-player and multiplayer progress to the upgraded version, but the update requires higher minimum specifications, including 16GB of RAM and an SSD.
The original PC version will remain available for players with lower-spec hardware, though cross-play between the old and new versions will not be supported.
