GST 2.0 Resets India Bike Prices: Honda Trims 300cc Tags as Premium BMW and Honda Models Get Costlier

The new two-rate GST sets 18% for sub-350cc, 40% for larger bikes, driving immediate price resets across line-ups.

  • Honda cut the CB300R to Rs 2.19 lakh (down Rs 21,000) and the CB300F to Rs 1.55 lakh (down Rs 15,000), reflecting the lower slab for sub-350cc models.
  • Honda’s BigWing range above 350cc now carries higher tags, with increases up to Rs 2.92 lakh on the GL1800 Gold Wing Tour and Rs 2.19 lakh on the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
  • BMW Motorrad raised prices across most of its portfolio by Rs 95,000 to Rs 3.13 lakh, while only the G 310 R and the 350cc C 400 GT saw reductions.
  • Kawasaki announced reductions on select sub-350cc models, including roughly Rs 31,000 off the KLX230 and about Rs 30,900 off the Versys-X 300.
  • Honda launched the CB350C Special Edition at about Rs 2.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), opened bookings, scheduled deliveries for early October, and rebranded the base CB350 line as CB350C.
