Görlitz Court Sentences Ex-NPD Official to 13 Years for Rape and Abuse of Stepdaughters

The court ruled the legal conditions for preventive detention were not met despite describing the conduct as extraordinarily malicious.

Overview

  • The Landgericht Görlitz convicted the 40-year-old of 25 rapes, 34 counts of abusing persons under care, 233 fraud offenses, and producing child sexual abuse material.
  • Judges said he coerced his former stepdaughters, now 22 and 18, over years, including forcing the elder into group rapes with at least six men.
  • Evidence included coercive WhatsApp messages in which he asserted control over the younger victim’s sexual activity.
  • The panel weighed a 15-year term but imposed 13 years after crediting a partial confession, while prosecutors had sought 12 years plus preventive detention.
  • The verdict excludes preventive detention and may be appealed to the Federal Court of Justice; BILD separately reports unconfirmed allegations that he uploaded recordings and profited from them.
