Grimsby Town Youth Player and Father Die in Canal Crash

Cameron Walsh, 16, and his father, Dave Walsh, were both pronounced dead at the scene, leaving the football community devastated.

Cameron Walsh, a 16-year-old youth player for Grimsby Town, and his father, Dave Walsh, died when their car left the road and became submerged in a canal in Lincolnshire.
The incident occurred on Tetney Lock Road near Grimsby, which runs alongside the Louth Canal.
Both Cameron and Dave were pronounced dead at the scene. The family has been informed and is being supported.
Cameron was a cherished member of Grimsby Town's youth team and his father, Dave, was a popular footballer in the area.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage, and while they do not currently believe any other vehicles were involved, they are keeping an open mind.
