Greggs and KFC Free Sausage Roll Tour Hits Three UK Cities

Following three days of free samples across London, Manchester and Newcastle, the collaboration moves online with a £10 sharing bucket on Uber Eats from Aug 15–16.

Overview

  • The three-day pop-up tour runs Aug 7 in London, Aug 8 in Manchester and Aug 9 in Newcastle with complimentary sausage rolls drenched in KFC gravy.
  • On Aug 15 and 16, a limited £10 Uber Eats bucket featuring six sausage rolls and a large tub of KFC gravy will be available in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham.
  • This first-ever Greggs-KFC alliance responds to fans’ appetite after data showed Britons consumed 15,000 litres of KFC gravy and over one million Greggs sausage rolls every day last year.
  • KFC brand manager Phoebe Syms said the mash-up was inspired by customer demand to unite the fried-chicken chain’s ‘liquid gold’ with Greggs’ iconic pastry.
  • Greggs reports a 14.3% fall in pre-tax profit for the half-year to June 28, with hot weather and rising costs denting sales ahead of the new promotion.
