• Staff discovered the helmet missing on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from a mannequin beside Moore’s IndyCar at the Vancouver museum.
• The item is the helmet Moore wore in his 1998 Rio 400 victory and had been on permanent loan from his parents, Ric and Donna.
• The Hall reported the theft to Vancouver Police and released a suspect description: a man in a black hat, black pants, blue shirt, grey jacket, white shoes, carrying a burgundy sports bag.
