• Following a successful appeal in May 2025, an independent BHA licensing committee approved Fairley’s licence application.
• Fairley was warned off in 2011 for failing to ride a horse on its merits and for sharing insider information.
• He applied to reinstate his licence in May 2023 but was initially rejected before his appeal succeeded.
• During his exclusion, he worked as a tree surgeon and resumed riding out for trainer Sandy Thomson in 2021.
• He must satisfy conditions set by the BHA before his licence is finalised.
