Overview
- Activists entered the museum disguised as tourists, then posed as workers to wrap the wax figure in a blanket and smuggle it out through an emergency exit on June 2
- The statue was first placed outside the Russian Embassy in Paris before being relocated on June 3 to EDF’s headquarters with a placard calling Macron and Putin “radioactive allies”
- Police took the undamaged statue into custody and returned the €40,000 figure to the Musée Grévin on June 4
