• The Sept. 5 teaser introduces three friends who drive cross-country after being led to believe their band will open for Green Day.
• New Years Rev will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 12.
• Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool, and Mike Dirnt appear in the film and perform on screen.
• Lee Kirk directs a cast led by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, and Ryan Foust, with supporting roles from Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, Mckenna Grace, Bobby Lee, Sean Gunn, Keen Ruffalo, and Ignacio Diaz-Silverio.
• Developed with Live Nation Productions, the project uses Green Day songs including “Holiday,” CAA Media Finance is handling sales, and no general release date has been announced.
