- The band released the single and video “I’m Never Gonna R. I.P.” on Tuesday as the lead track for the Nimrods soundtrack, with a rockabilly-tinged sound and lyrics delivered by Billie Joe Armstrong.
- The soundtrack, available for pre-order, is a 30-track set due July 31 that contains 22 Green Day songs alongside four previously unreleased live recordings from the Los Angeles Palladium and new material tied to the film.
