Green Day's 14th studio album, 'Saviors', set to release on January 19, 2024, was recorded in London and Los Angeles with longtime producer Rob Cavallo.
The first single from the album, 'The American Dream Is Killing Me', is described as an examination of how the traditional American Dream is failing and hurting many people, featuring a zombie-themed music video.
The album is described as raw and emotional, with elements of power pop, punk, rock, and indie highlighted, and touching on issues such as mental health, climate change, inequality, and social media division.
In addition to the single, another track from the album, 'Look Ma, No Brains!', was debuted live at a concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of Green Day's breakthrough album, 'Dookie'.
The band will be embarking on a stadium tour next year, featuring performances from the Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and the Linda Lindas.
