  • Investigators traced the alleged June 12 kidnapping of Bheem Singh and his cousin to a fabricated ransom plot orchestrated to fund illegal operations.
  • Kasna police and a SWAT team arrested eight suspects at White Orchid Apartments and Radha Sky Garden in Gaur City, confiscating four laptops, 26 smartphones and 16 SIM cards.
  • Suspects confessed to running a cricket betting network via the banned Rudra Criclive app, earning about ₹30 lakh daily and funneling profits to accounts in Thailand and Dubai.
  • Police recovered forged Aadhaar cards, bank passbooks, cheque books and a passport used to launder money and facilitate the illegal gambling scheme.
  • The ongoing probe will target freezing financial accounts linked to the racket and issuing notices to social media influencers who promoted the banned app.
