Greater Bay Airlines has announced the cancellation of 128 flights, including 64 round trips, in February and March 2025 due to operational challenges.
The airline attributes the disruptions to delays in the delivery of new aircraft and mandatory inspections of its existing fleet.
Approximately 5,500 passengers are impacted, with the airline offering rebooking, refunds, waived fees, and compensation for affected travelers.
The carrier has applied to suspend its underperforming Hong Kong-Seoul route, which had been operating three times weekly since January 2023.
Hong Kong's transport minister has voiced concerns, urging the airline to prioritize passenger rights and present a comprehensive mitigation plan.
