Overview
- Grasser Racing Team confirmed it has purchased a new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 chassis and will run a second car at the Nürburgring weekend from 14–16 August.
- Christian Engelhart will drive the replacement car at the Nürburgring and said he will aim to represent injured team‑mate Max Paul and support Lamborghini and GRT on track.
- Max Paul remains in recovery from fractures to his tibia, fibula and a lumbar vertebra suffered in the Norisring crash and his return for the season finale in Hockenheim is being treated as possible depending on his healing.
- The move preserves GRT’s competitiveness at a pivotal moment in the championship where Maro Engel leads on 145 points with Nicki Thiim on 124 and Lucas Auer on 123 and only three race weekends remain after the Nürburgring.
- The Nürburgring event will feature 21 cars on the grid with Race 1 on Saturday 15 August and Race 2 on Sunday 16 August, both broadcast live on ProSieben and streamed on Joyn.
