Actress Hélène Darras Accuses Depardieu of Assault on 2007 Film Set

French actor Gérard Depardieu faces new sexual assault allegations from actress Hélène Darras, who claims he assaulted her on the set of the 2007 film 'Disco'.
Darras is the second woman to file an official complaint against Depardieu, following actress Charlotte Arnould who filed a complaint in 2018 accusing Depardieu of rape.
Depardieu has been hit by multiple sexual assault allegations in recent years, with investigative news website Médiapart publishing an in-depth report detailing allegations by 13 women earlier this year.
Darras alleges that Depardieu groped her and invited her to his dressing room, and that she did not report the incident at the time for fear of being blacklisted.
The Paris Prosecutor's Office is currently analyzing Darras' complaint to determine whether it should be handled separately or as part of the ongoing case stemming from the 2018 rape charges.
