Overview

• The reopening covers Highway 67 to the W1 road, Cape Royal Road to Point Imperial and Cape Royal, plus Fire Point and Swamp Ridge/Swamp Point.
• These locations will be open from sunrise to sunset, with overnight use allowed only at Swamp Point and Fire Point.
• Access is scheduled through Nov. 30 or until the first major snowfall.
• Most of the North Rim remains closed, including the North Kaibab Trail, and closure orders will be enforced.
• Visitors should bring all supplies as there is no power, water, cell service or fuel, hazards persist, emergency response is limited, and vehicles over 22 feet are prohibited on Cape Royal Road.
