Overview
- The Diputación de Granada finalized a deal with the Junta de Andalucía to buy the former Banco de España building on Granada’s Gran Vía for roughly nine million euros.
- The provincial council will fund the acquisition with €5.4 million from its own budgets and a €3.7 million supplementary credit.
- The building, currently occupied by the Fiscalía Superior de Andalucía, will house the Servicio Provincial Tributario alongside cultural spaces supporting Granada’s 2031 European Capital of Culture bid.
- The Fiscalía Superior de Andalucía will relocate to the Real Chancillería in Plaza Nueva to free up the Gran Vía property.
