Overview
- Service will be interrupted from about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday for roughly 12 hours, with pressure and supply normalizing progressively over the following 24–48 hours.
- Affected sectors span five departments: Ciudad (La Favorita); Godoy Cruz (from Lateral Este Acceso Sur to 9 de Julio and from Carrodilla to Rodríguez Peña); Guaymallén (San Francisco del Monte, Rodeo de la Cruz, Capilla del Rosario, Jesús Nazareno and parts of Villa Nueva); Luján de Cuyo (Blanco Encalada, Las Compuertas, La Puntilla, Chacras de Coria, Potrerillos, Cacheuta, barrios Los Alerces I y II, Susso, San Antonio, Huarpes III); Maipú (Coquimbito, Luzuriaga).
- At Potrerillos, AYSAM will install a new 800 mm flow meter on the plant’s outlet aqueduct while the Dirección de Hidráulica performs maintenance by opening the dam’s bottom outlet (DDF).
- At the Luján II plant, crews will carry out preparatory maneuvers for the future installation of two additional flow meters on 450 mm and 500 mm aqueducts.
- Authorities urge households to conserve water, keep a minimum reserve of 2 liters per person, avoid garden irrigation and the use of washing machines and dishwashers, and remember that washing sidewalks and vehicles with hoses is prohibited.
