Overview
- Racing began at 6 a.m. from Puerto Madero’s Anfiteatro Niní Marshall at Calabria and Rosario Vera Peñaloza, with finish and awards at the same site.
- Total closures are in place on Av. Cantilo, Av. Lugones, Autopistas Illia, 25 de Mayo, Perito Moreno, Paseo del Bajo, and a stretch of 9 de Julio Sur, with windows running roughly from 4:30 a.m. to noon depending on the segment.
- Participants ride two distances on the closed urban circuit, a 60 km Medio Fondo and a 124 km Gran Fondo.
- Organizers prohibit any unauthorized vehicles or pedestrians on the course and ban private assistance to riders inside the circuit for safety reasons.
- A large operational deployment includes signage, barriers, course marshals, medical teams and ambulances, and the event proceeds despite a forecast of cool, partly cloudy conditions with possible isolated showers.
