- On July 24, GPD shared a teaser showing the WIN 5 running Black Myth: Wukong at up to 213 fps and confirmed it is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU.
- Cary “The Phawx” Golumb’s leaked spec sheet reveals the WIN 5 forgoes an internal battery in favor of a detachable 80 Wh pack or a 180 W power brick sold separately.
- The 7-inch handheld features a 120 Hz variable refresh display and a dual-fan, four-heat-pipe cooling system to manage sustained 55 W power draws.
- Configuration options include 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of unified memory, USB4 with 100 W PD charging and 8K/60 Hz DisplayPort output, plus an optional HDMI/USB dock.
- GPD will make the WIN 5’s full public debut at ChinaJoy 2025 on August 1, with pricing expected to enter the four-digit range.
