- On May 29, Minister Steven Guilbeault released the official Canada Day 2025 schedule for July 1, marking the 158th anniversary of Confederation
- Ottawa’s LeBreton Flats Park will host a live national noon ceremony and an evening concert headlined by Sarah McLachlan, Cœur de pirate, Josh Ross and Blue Rodeo
- Both ceremonies will be broadcast live across CBC platforms—including CBC News Network, CBC Gem and CBC Radio—and partner outlets ICI RDI, ICI TÉLÉ and ICI TOU.TV
- VIA Rail’s O Canada! Station invites Canadians to record pride-themed videos online or at station booths, with featured clips airing during the evening show and a chance to win rail trips
- The festivities also honour the Supreme Court’s 150th anniversary and the national flag’s 60th, featuring free family activities and fireworks at four Ottawa-Gatineau sites
