  • Authorities reported 128 of 647 online services back online as of Friday night, including 12 first-tier government network systems, up from 17.8 percent earlier in the day to 19.8 percent.
  • The Interior Ministry said the seven-day holiday covering Chuseok through next Thursday will be used to accelerate repairs and minimize gaps in public services.

  • Officials acknowledged that the G Drive document repository was destroyed without an external backup after serving 74 agencies and about 191,000 civil servants, and they pledged to establish a more robust backup system.
  • Police raided the NIRS and three companies in a probe of the blaze and booked four people on suspicion of occupational negligence.
