Overview
- As of September 30, 2025, the scheme logged Rs 35,657 crore in cumulative investment, Rs 32,879 crore in determined sales and 48,974 jobs, with Rs 2,321.94 crore in incentives disbursed by December 31.
- For FY2024–25 performance, Rs 1,999.94 crore was paid to five approved applicants—Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, TVS Motor and Ola Electric—after Rs 322 crore was released for FY2023–24 performance earlier.
- The programme has incentivised 1,042,172 electric two-wheelers, 238,385 electric three-wheelers, 79,540 electric four-wheelers and 1,391 electric buses.
- Officials plan to invoke bank guarantees for about ten companies that reported zero investment, and DVA certifications now cover 94 OEM variants and 37 component variants under the 50% local value rule.
- The ministry has circulated guidelines to states for deploying 72,000 EV chargers under PM E-DRIVE through 2030, alongside reported EV uptake including an estimated 32% penetration in the L5 three-wheeler segment.
