Government Launches Rs 4,531-Crore Market Access Support to Boost Exports

The scheme prioritises MSMEs with structured digital support for first-time exporters.

Overview

  • Market Access Support is the first notified component of the Rs 25,060-crore Export Promotion Mission under NIRYAT DISHA and is now operational through the trade.gov.in portal.
  • Funding totals Rs 4,531 crore for 2025–31 with Rs 500 crore for FY2025–26, supporting trade fairs, exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, reverse buyer-seller meets and trade delegations.
  • Government support generally covers 60% of event costs, rising to 80% for priority sectors, with per-event caps of Rs 5 crore for BSMs, Rs 10 crore for RBSMs and Rs 5 crore for trade delegations.
  • The scheme mandates at least 35% MSME participation, benchmarks delegations at a minimum of 50 participants and offers partial airfare support to exporters with turnover up to Rs 75 lakh.
  • Officials said legacy MAI dues of about Rs 330 crore will be cleared, a three-to-five-year event calendar and mandatory online feedback will guide rollouts, an IEC-based exporter index is being developed, and additional components such as Trace reimbursements and product-demonstration support will be notified by January-end.
