Government Allocates £750m to Repair England’s NHS and Schools

  • The government has launched the £750 million Estates Safety Fund to carry out urgent repairs at 42 NHS sites and 59 schools across England.

  • Despite the funding, maintenance backlogs remain substantial, with North Devon District Hospital facing an estimated £44 million of outstanding repairs.
