Gotham FC Signs USWNT Stars Rose Lavelle and Emily Sonnett

The midfielders join the reigning NWSL champions through the 2026 season, following the club's recent signings of Crystal Dunn and Tierna Davidson.

Gotham FC has signed USWNT stars Rose Lavelle and Emily Sonnett, both midfielders, through the 2026 NWSL season.
Lavelle and Sonnett were previously with OL Reign, which lost to Gotham FC in the 2023 NWSL Championship game.
Lavelle has made 92 appearances for the USWNT, scoring 24 goals, and Sonnett has made 83 appearances, scoring two goals.
These signings follow Gotham FC's recent deals with Crystal Dunn and Tierna Davidson, also World Cup champions.
Lavelle described her move from OL Reign to Gotham FC as 'the hardest decision' she's had to make.
