Gores Family and Toys for Tots Deliver 8,600 Gifts to 750 Detroit Families

The invitation-only giveaway reflects a 19-year Marine-led partnership.

  • Supporters included Tom and Holly Gores, retailer Meijer, and numerous U.S. Marine Corps volunteers.
  • This marks the 19th year of the Gores family’s effort, with 147,500 toys delivered to more than 75,000 children to date, and a second event is scheduled in Flint on Dec. 17 alongside a $25,000 donation to The Salvation Army Downriver Corps.
