Overview
- Google announced the September Android Feature Drop on Tuesday and began rolling out Chat Themes plus Google Keep integration in Google Messages immediately while the other features will arrive in waves.
- Find Hub can now record user‑declared item locations via Gemini and save them in a new “remembered items” tab so users can ask where they put things without using physical trackers; this feature requires Android 16 or newer in supported countries.
- Motion Assist places a customizable, moving bubble overlay on the screen to reduce motion sickness when a device detects vehicle movement and it is limited to phones running Android 17.
- Guided Vision in Gemini Live lets users share the camera for real‑time audio descriptions and voice guidance to read labels, menus or locate objects and will roll out to Android 9 and newer in countries where Gemini is available.
- Deliveries are being done through app and service updates rather than a single OS push, so availability will expand over the coming weeks and users should check for app updates and region or OS requirements to know when features reach their devices.
