• Gemini’s July 2025 update integrates an inline Audio Overview player, so users no longer need to switch to a web tab to listen.
• The new player offers a timeline scrubber, play/pause button, 10-second rewind and skip, speed adjustments from 0.5× to 2×, plus a download option.
• Rolling out on Android (stable version 16.27) and iOS, the media player appears automatically after generating a summary.
• Audio Overviews deliver 30–45 minute conversational discussions between two AI hosts and can take up to five minutes to generate.
• The feature is now available globally to all Gemini users, including those on the free tier.
