Google's Gemini AI has launched a new 'Add to Calendar' button in Gmail, enabling users to create calendar events from email content with a single click.
The feature is currently rolling out to English-language web users and is expected to be fully available by mid-April 2025.
Access to the feature is restricted to Google Workspace Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts, as well as Google One AI Premium subscribers.
While the button simplifies event creation, it does not automatically invite attendees or handle emails with pre-integrated calendar events, such as flight or restaurant reservations.
Users can edit event details after creation via a Gemini-powered sidebar, though functionality remains unavailable on mobile and for free Gmail accounts.
