Google Tests Sliders to Let Users Customize Gemini's Voice

If released, the controls would let people change how Gemini sounds and show Google's push to make assistant speech feel more natural.

  • The interface exposes four adjustable parameters labeled Speed, Energy, Formality, and Warmth with Speed offering slow/normal/fast and the other three using low/medium/high steps.
  • The settings are described to apply to both Gemini Live conversational speech and the regular chat voice so a single voice profile would carry across modes.
  • Google has not publicly announced or confirmed the feature and APK Insight findings are provisional, meaning the UI could change or never ship.
