Overview
- Reporters and teardown authors found Connectivity Health inside an unreleased Pixel Troubleshooting APK and manually enabled it to inspect the feature.
- Only the mobile data diagnostic completed a full troubleshooting flow in tests, checking connection and speed then recommending Private DNS be set to “off” or “automatic.”
- Wi‑Fi and call diagnostics opened their initial screens in the test build but did not provide working troubleshooting steps or full flows.
- Google has not announced a rollout date, which Pixel models or Android versions will be supported, or where diagnostic reports would be stored and who could access them.
- If released, Connectivity Health would consolidate existing checks into one Settings > Network & internet menu and could help users decide whether a problem is phone-side before contacting carriers or IT, though enterprise-managed settings and reporting remain unresolved.
