Overview

  • The partnership begins with the Pixel10 series in late 2025, marking Google’s shift away from Samsung-made Tensor chips.
  • Tensor G5, codenamed “Laguna,” is expected to debut on the Pixel10 lineup and will be fabricated using TSMC’s advanced 3nm N3E process.
  • Google’s move comes after Samsung Foundry faced performance and production delays with its 3nm GAA node.
  • The Pixel10 family is reported to include four models: Pixel10, Pixel10 Pro, Pixel10 Pro XL and Pixel10 Pro Fold.
  • Sources say the collaboration could extend beyond smartphones into cloud TPUs, IC design, servers and liquid cooling technologies.
