Overview
- Google began rolling out Android 17 QPR1 as the September 2026 Pixel Feature Drop Tuesday, publishing global builds labeled CP3A.260905.009 and posting factory images and OTA files for supported Pixel models.
- The update emphasizes visual polish and small usability changes, including stronger system blur across UI surfaces, a carousel-style media player, bouncier Quick Settings animations, a Keyboard Quick Settings tile, and a “Don’t ask me again” option on the Mobile Data prompt.
- Pixel 11 phones received two September builds earlier in the month and are effectively already on this software, which explains why separate QPR1 builds were not issued for many Pixel 11 variants.
- Android Beta Program participants on QPR1 must opt out to receive the stable OTA without a wipe, and beta users will get a small transitional update from Beta 9 to the final release.
