- Google has renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook and synced it with the Gemini app to make notebooks a first-class part of the Gemini product family.
- Gemini Notebook can now serve as a context source for Gemini in Google Docs through Workspace Intelligence so notebook research can inform drafts alongside Drive, Gmail, Chat, and the web.
- New multimodal features include real-time voice conversations across web and mobile in nearly 100 languages and a mobile audio recorder that began rolling out after the September announcement.
- The product also adds interactive learning outputs such as quizzes, flashcards and Short Video Overviews while Google continues to expand Audio Overview across formats and languages.
- Rollouts, plan access and regional availability are phased and uneven so organizations should check account settings, set source and permission rules, and keep human review of grounded AI outputs.
