Overview
- Google began rolling out the five feature upgrades on Sept. 24, with availability staggered by region, age and subscription tier.
- Gemini Spark integration lets users run prompt-driven, multi-step searches and edits inside Photos but is limited to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
- Wardrobe, now available on Android and iOS in the U.S., India and Brazil for eligible users, catalogs clothes from your photos to let you mix, match and virtually try on outfits.
- Creative tools include Moods—adaptive, vintage-inspired style presets rolling out globally on Android—plus 15 new Remix templates for select countries and users over 18, and an upgraded Markup tool with a Redact pen, thickness sliders and new fonts on Android.
- Google says edits are applied to copies, new albums default to private and Spark asks for explicit sharing consent, so users should check account settings and review collections with sensitive images before enabling the new features.
