Overview
- Google expanded access on Tuesday by making Gemini 4 Argon available to Gemini AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search while limiting Antigravity coding features to Ultra users.
- Developers can call Argon through the paid Gemini API at an introductory rate of $2 per 1M input tokens and $10 per 1M output tokens that Google says will double after November 30, 2026.
- Google says Argon handles long, multi-step tasks in coding, finance, law, cybersecurity and science and supports a unified one‑million token input/output limit for long workflows.
- The company is expanding its Fairwind program to give vetted cybersecurity partners an unguarded version of Argon for vulnerability hunting and is offering 10,000 scientists limited free Antigravity access for research.
- The rollout follows weeks of internal testing and earlier delays at DeepMind and will shift developer economics and competitive rankings as independent benchmarks and rivals’ responses arrive.
