Google Opens Applications for Summer 2026 Public Policy Fellowship

Overview

  • Applications close on April 9, 2026 at 12 pm ET.
  • Fellows work June–August at Washington, D.C. public-interest organisations on internet and technology policy under a lead mentor, with in-person presence recommended and remote participation set by hosts.
  • Stipends are $12,000 for full-time and $6,000 for part-time, disbursed by host organisations contingent on satisfactory evaluations and required paperwork, with taxes the responsibility of fellows.
  • Eligibility requires enrollment or acceptance at an accredited institution by August 30, 2026 and age 18 by January 1, 2026, with former Google Policy Fellows ineligible.
  • Candidates may apply to at most two host organisations; reviews occur on a rolling basis without submission confirmations, and shortlisted applicants are contacted directly.
