Google Meet Introduces AI Note-Taking with Gemini

New feature automatically transcribes and summarizes meeting discussions for select Workspace users.

  • Gemini AI organizes and saves meeting notes in Google Drive and attaches them to calendar events.
  • The feature is available to users with specific Google Workspace add-ons, including Gemini Enterprise and AI Meetings & Messaging.
  • Users can access real-time summaries during meetings and catch up if they join late.
  • The AI note-taking is currently limited to English and desktop or laptop use.
  • Full rollout to eligible users is expected by September 10, 2024.
