Overview

  • Google Meet's AI, powered by Gemini, now generates a checklist of suggested tasks, complete with due dates and assigned participants, based on meeting discussions.
  • The action items feature is exclusive to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise subscribers, as well as users with Gemini Enterprise or AI Meetings & Messaging add-ons.
  • Users can review, edit, and customize the AI-suggested tasks, which are included in the meeting notes document shared after the meeting.
  • A new live caption history feature allows all users to scroll through and review the last 30 minutes of captions during a meeting, improving accessibility and convenience.
  • Google is rolling out these features gradually to monitor performance and quality, with the action items functionality being implemented at a slower pace than usual.
