Google Launches Gemini AI-Powered Video Tool for Workspace Users

The new Vids app helps create video presentations by integrating AI features like script writing and stock media insertion.

Google Vids is available to select Workspace users, including Business and Enterprise tiers, with a rollout that began on November 7, 2024.
The app uses Google's Gemini AI to assist in creating video presentations by generating scripts, inserting stock media, and providing AI voiceovers.
Vids allows users to incorporate their own media, such as Google Docs, Slides, and personal audio or video recordings, into the video creation process.
The tool does not generate videos from scratch but assembles video storyboards based on user prompts and source documents.
While all AI features are accessible until December 2025, Google plans to introduce usage limits on certain features starting in 2026.
